“AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE BY PARTIAL

REPLACEMENT OF SURKHI SAND AS FINE AGGREGATE”. Surkhi sand is nothing but crushed

brick stone. We first prepared the M25 grade conventional concrete with suitable

requirements. And we partially replaced normal sand by surkhi at 20%, 40% and 60%. Then

We prepared concrete and after required curing we comparedthe strengths with conventional

concrete. It shows high strength at 20% and 40%, but shows low strength at 60%. Hence it is.
