SECURITY MANAGEMENT
a)Conducting risk assessment surveys and classification through risk matrix quarterly.
b)Preparing a risk assessment report to determine the risk level at different locations of the mine quarterly.
c)Installing adequate mitigatory systems that address the identified risk.
d)Maintaining and reviewing the security systems quarterly
e)Conducting physical security surveys to identify weaknesses that may result in potential loss quarterly.
f)Developing security policies and procedures that ensure that company assets are protected and safe guarded as and when necessary.
g)Installing and reviewing adequate security systems to ensure company assets are protected and safe guarded quarterly.
h)Ensuring that the mine is not making losses by identifying and highlighting loss making activities to line managers and mine manager as and when necessary.
i)Generating reports and recommendations to management on loss making activities as and when necessary.
j)Carrying out spot checks on suspected vulnerable areas regularly to curb theft.

PROTECTION OF GOLD
a)Ensuring that the mine experiences no theft of gold by creating, developing, implementing and managing strict security standards and processes in all key areas.
b) Ensuring that there is clear accountability of gold by maintaining daily records of gold movement.
c)Ensuring that all mine areas are properly manned and secured.
d)Ensures adherence to processes and procedures of gold handling by conducting daily checks.
e)Ensures that gold bullion is adequately secured by providing adequate security until handed over
PROTECTION OF ASSETS
a)Ensures that assets are secured by putting in place systems and procedures that keep track of their movements.
b)Seconds details for stock taking and receive feedback on the findings and take appropriate action monthly.
c)Ensures that items that go out of the mine either for repairs or otherwise are accounted for by keeping and independent record of their movement and making monthly follow ups.
d)Ensures that firearms are handled as per procedures, regulations and statutes.
e)Ensures that there is no loss or damage to company property through an emergency preparedness and response plan in the event of an industrial action
f)Ensures that there is control on movement of people and goods in and out of the mine by keeping daily records.
g)Conducts regular review of access control procedures as and when necessary
INVESTIGATIONS
a)Providing leadership in security investigations and ensuring that investigations are conducted proactively, professionally and in a dignified manner
b)Assuming full responsibility of actual physical investigation of serious or sensitive cases to ensure confidentiality as and when necessary.
c)Liaison with ZRP and other stakeholders for prosecution and other security related matters
