Owned and operated by Vale, the Long Harbour Processing Plant (LHPP) began operations in 2014 and will employ about 475 people at full production. The LHPP and the Voisey’s Bay mine and concentrator are an integrated operation. Nickel concentrate from Voisey’s Bay will be shipped to Long Harbour to be processed into finished nickel and associated copper and cobalt products. I managed work fronts with the following companies: Pennecon, M and M, KBAC(Kewit/GJ Cahill), Brownco Janitorial, DFB Driver, Spectrum Security, Aecon, Morneau Sheppell Site Clinic, ERT, Cahill, Stoncor Coatings, and Logistics Site Services.

Overseen over one billion dollars on night shift work fronts and activities.

Coordinated all trades and construction, operations, and commissioning staff to maximize efficiency.

I was responsible for the following companies: Pennecon, HJ O’Connell, KBAC, Fluor Constructors, Harris Rebar, Penny/McNally, DFB Driver, Spectrum Security, Aecon, Morneau Sheppell Site Clinic, ERT, ESS Camp Services, Cahill, Black and Macdonald, and Aluma Systems.
