Job Responsibility:

1.Managed and Supported the transmission Implementation (installation and commissioning) of OSN6800, OSN8800 Back Bone Nodes and OSN7500 type I & II, OSN3500, and OSN550 Metro/NFE Nodes, for multiple sites on MTN Nigeria Network.

2.Managed and Supported the transmission Implementation (installation and commissioning) of OSN1800 (I, II,& V )on multiple sites on enterprise Network.

3. Design, Planning and Implementation of capacity expansion on existing customer’s DWDM, SDH and PTN networks to ease congestion.

4. Network Audit to discover high link attenuation, service protection issues, link congestions and NE/network resource bottlenecks.

Achievement on Huawei Projects:

Implementation of MTN’s DWDM breakup sites and new route sites

Long fiber sections (over 100 KM) with Raman amplifiers were broken up by implementation of OADM sites along the section. Card configurations were changed at the upstream and downstream sites. Existing wavelengths and client over OTN links were broken up at new breakup sites. Over 30 breakup and new route sites (OSN6800, OSN8800 OTN and OSN8800 Hybrid nodes) implemented.

Implementation of MTN’s Metro/NFE Network Hybrid MSTP with 10GE and STM64/16 links implemented over multiple Cities, towns and villages.

These convergence networks are used for backhauling IPRAN services. EoO and EoWDM was equaling implementation with special boards on the OTN network for transport. Over 50x OSN7500/3500 nodes and over 300 OSN550 nodes have been deployed so far.

Implementation of MTN’s WACS Metro Project, OSN6800 DWDM and OSN8800 with 40Gbps OTN bandwidth channels (First in Nigeria).

Hardware installation certification and Single station commissioning (Optical Power Adjustment) of Optical Network Element and integration of entire DWDM network composing of direction, colored nodes.

Implementation of MTN’s OSN6800 ROADM and OSN8800 OTN backbone (130 sites) for IPMPLS client signals.
