Objective
To obtain a position utilizing my abilities and expertise as RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST.
Radiology Technicians (RT) and technologists (RTL) are generally responsible for preparing and safely positioning patients in order to get the most accurate images.
Job Responsibilities:
Receives requests from different hospitals, clinic and other patients including referrals. Gather all patient clinical data and information / history, including previous radiographic images if any.
Check patients’ identity and examination required ensuring all examinations are justified and optimized.
Confirms the patient’s personal data or patients’ identifiers.
Enter patient data into computers.
Explain testing procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
Participate in lifting and transporting patients to and from imaging devices and procedure room.
Understands and adheres to all safety practices which is the ALARA principle while performing duties to minimize any risk of injury or exposure to unnecessary ionizing radiation.
Participates in Patient Care, Imaging, Communication, and customer service orientation for continuing professional education to increase the knowledge and awareness of the organizational and healthcare provider capabilities.
Responsible for the proper usage and storage of personnel radiation monitoring devices (TLD).
