I work for Fraser Alexander. I am working under the Tailings division as part of the Technical Services Team. This role encompasses monitoring, managing, and mitigating the risk posed to FA by the Tailings facilities for which Fraser Alexander is responsible for, provision of specialist support to the Operations Divisions, developing and managing operational projects for existing and new business opportunities.

Roles/Responsibilities

Reviewing data to ensure it is accurate and representative of the TSF status by use of an in-house monitoring system – TORAS (Technical and Operation Risk Assessment System). Conducting Audits of facilities to enable data validation. Assisting operations division in resolving site specific issues. Attending formal quarterly meetings with the Client, EoR and FA Operations Team Undertaking specialist analyses and investigations required. I find Work Integrated Learning as a platform for me to apply the knowledge I learnt in class to my chosen field of interest, building my confidence and enhancing my skillset for the workplace. Spending time on site has equipped me with valuable knowledge regarding both design and construction work. I have also learnt that proper planning of the sequence of work is the most vital key to project success. Working alongside the site engineer enhanced my knowledge in both managerial and supervision skills.
