I have had 25 years in the Electrical trade. The first 10 was mostly commercial, after that time I moved to industrial and plant maintenance. I have worked on jobs in Northern Alberta, Syncrude, Suncor, CNRL, Albian, Horizon, Joffre, Kearl Lake, Fort Hills, and Brion. While I have been working as a electrician I also had the opportunity to diversify my skills and started Millwrighting and Instrumentation apprenticeships.

I worked as a contractor in the Oil Sands Fort McMurray region. I was a contract Master Electrician / Millwright in a 5 ton Crane Truck. My duties included receiving work orders for work to be done on the water and waste water systems at the Fort Hills site and CNRL Albian Sites. Troubleshooting problems and responding to power outages, dealing with the client, procurement of parts, dealing with vendors and third party contractors. Installing pumps, working with blowers, compressors, electrical motors, VFD's, thermal scanning, Megger testing, use of electrical meters and other testing equipment.
