Conducted inspection and readings of plant equipment and aided in identifying if it needs maintenance.

Demonstrated understanding of how equipment function and apply it to uphold equipment at optimized working standards to assure that it delivers a quality product.

Carry out plant inspections and report equipment defects and abnormalities as well as any process deviations and unsafe hazards.

Conduct sampling of chemicals and water during various stages of operations and ensure the correct procedure is used to ensure it is a representative sample.

Ensure that equipment is safe for maintenance, conduct routine inspection and maintaining housekeeping standards of the workplace.

Conduct basic first line fault finding and administer standard operating procedures on essential equipment.

Resolved Pump failure, control valve failures, gauges, indicators, leaking pipes and defects of equipment in the workplace and take logs of faulty equipment.

Administered startup, control and shutdown of the plant equipment including Esterification Reactors, Liquid – Liquid separation columns, Vacuum Distillation Columns, Decomposers, Air Compressors and basic process equipment such as pumps and filters. All done according to relevant standard operating procedures.

Compiled important area shift report at end of shift and reported relevant information to oncoming shift workers while doing so.

Executed basic risk assessments for tasks to be carried out to ensure the safety of maintenance and other workers and to inform them of any underlying hazards still present.

Trained other Process Artisans in the control, start-up and shutdown of the Butyl Acrylate and waste section at AAA plant.
