Admin. Services/Evidence Technician City of McCall Police Dept. McCall, ID • Jan. 2017 – Present The Administrative Services & Evidence Technician works independently under the supervision of the Information Services Supervisor. Administrative tasks: Greeting and assisting with walk-in reports, questions, and ink fingerprinting. Answering non-emergency calls and transferring them to the appropriate department or officer. Supports the department operations by performing various tasks such and keeping the lobby bulleting board updated, supplies are ordered and stocked (cleaning supplies, office supplies, officer equipment, and most important the coffee is stocked). Maintains the City Dog License Spreadsheet, creates or updates the annual renewal letter and mails out the notices, collects the payments and sends out the new dog tags. As well as keeps the spreadsheet current for logging the required rabies vaccinations. Keeps the NCIC Validations spreadsheet up to date. When there are validations to be sent, letters would be created and mailed. If not received have the Chief sign off on a separate letter to have the item removed from the NCIC database. Parking and City Code paper citations, maintained calendar for letters to be sent out, and infraction citations for non-payment were issued. Filled out ITD forms for tow truck companies when vehicles were towed. Send files and digital evidence to the City or County Prosecutors. Also emailed ALS packets for the officers when they had DUI’s to ALS in a timely manner. Notarized documents for the officers, and the public. Evidence: Create, package, send and ship evidence packages to the appropriate labs as well as sort incoming mail and evidence packages. Date and research incoming records requests as well as gather and send Duces Tecums to the appropriate parties. Collect & move digital evidence submittals to the digital vault. Record digital evidence in evidence program FileonQ. Scan all reports and supporting documents into Laserfiche and fill out metadata templates, using document scanner. Obtain packaged evidence from lockers, log in FileonQ, print labels and put in the correct location. Utilize programs: PreLog, FileonQ and ATF.
Coordinate with DEA and local agencies for advertising and publications for the National Drug Take Back day event.
In progress: Learning new database software; Spillman, also in the process of taking NIBRs classes and training. Completed: Restricted Level of ILETS/NCIC training.
