I completed my M.Sc. Nursing (Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing) from India. I worked full time as Facility Charge Nurse at Hellenic Home for the Aged, Scarborough, Ontario from November 2020 to July 2021 where along with providing and coordinating resident’s care, I also received opportunity to delegate, supervise and improve my leadership skills. In addition to this, I worked three years as a Lecturer and six months as Assistant Professor in reputed Nursing Colleges in India. My job responsibilities were to prepare the students for both academic and clinical roles by demonstrating and supervising nursing procedures in lab and hospital settings.

Moreover, I had one year of full time and one year of part time experience in medical and surgical units as registered nurse in India. Conducting head to toe assessment, identifying client’s health status, taking vital signs, administering medication, routine sample collection, catheterization, G- tube feeding, wound care and maintaining personal hygiene were some of the tasks I performed during my clinical practice.

I also have volunteer experience in ICU at Peter Lougheed Hospital, Calgary where I worked in close collaboration with other health professionals to recognize the needs and planning care of patients with dementia and other neurological conditions. I also did volunteer work in various Seniors Homes Calgary with Guru Amar Das Niwas Nursing Home Association. In addition to this, during my graduation and post- graduation, I received training in all the units like medical, surgical, gerontology, antenatal, postnatal, ICU, emergency, NICU, along with community setting. I have good theoretical knowledge and clinical experience in diverse patient settings that will help me provide quality care to clients.
