Duration: Nov’01 –Apr’02 Project:Development of Advertising data mart For ABP Ltd. Role: Project Leader

Involved in the project from design to implementation.

The aim of the project was to develop an advertising data mart which involves development for volume and revenue analysis of classified and display ads as well as ads in magazines.

The source system was on ingres from which data was extracted to Sqlserver staging area. Sql server staging area data was loaded into SQLserverDatawarehousethorugh DTS package and T-SQL procedures.

Then the cubes were loaded which are created through Analysis services.

From cubes data is accessed by Excel 2000 front end.

The team had made some canned reports which will be accessed by end user through Internet Explorer. Technical Environment: Erwin, SQLServer 2000, DTS, T-SQL, Analysis Services, IIS

Duration: Sep’01 – Oct’01 Project:Development for Resorts Condominium International Technical Environment:DB2, Stored Procedure, VB

The Project was the development of VB screens in Windows NT which talks to DB2 database in Mainframe with COBOL acting as Middle tier. Ruma was the leader in Infrastructure and configuration management. She was also involved in writing Stored Procedures. Ruma also acted as DBA in Windows NT.

Involved in writing procedures for datawarehousing and data mining practice as PwC is going for SEI CMM certification in this area. Ruma was leading a team of 4 Consultants.

Duration: Jun’01 – Jul’01 Project:Siebel Prototype Development for Pharmaceutical Industry Role: Team Leader

The objective of the prototype was to implement a Siebel eBusiness application to provide a sales application for Pharmaceutical industry.

During the prototype design and development Ruma was involved in business analysis as well as development of Siebel application (screenflow diagram, data loading using Enterprise Integration Manager, defining workflow and assignment rules).

Duration: May’01 – Jun’01 Project:Siebel Prototype Development The objective of the prototype was to implement a Siebel eBusiness application to provide a complete, integrated system capturing, processing, storing, retrieving and reporting all information related to customer and prospect interaction with the company.

The scope of the integrated system was the Incoming Calls Group (ICG), Telesales, Field Sales, Literature Fulfillment and Order Fulfillment.

During the prototype design and development, involved in business analysis as well as development of Siebel application (screenflow diagram, data loading using Enterprise Integration Manager, defining workflow and assignment rules).

Specifically involved in loading data from csv files using SQL Loader into the Siebel EIM Interface tables and then running a Server Task to populate the Siebel User Tables.

These steps also included mapping the source data to the Siebel User Tables, identifying the columns to be loaded and then finding the relevant interfacing tables.

Duration: Nov’00 – Mar’01 Project:Financial Accounting System for Department of Power, Bhutan

Role: Module Leader of the Energy Accounting System of the project.

The system takes Audit meter reading as input, calculates the output as summation of the consumption as collected from billing system and calculates the technical loss as well as commercial loss for better control of the electrical system.

For calculating the technical loss, switching information had to be entered and that determines actual time of energization of different equipments.

Analyzed the client requirement and implement those in the system. Being an Electrical Engineer Ruma could apply functional knowledge to fulfill the client requirement.

Leveraged prior experience in Energy Accounting system in this project. She was also involved in testing of other modules, which enriches her knowledge of business processes.

Duration: May’00 – Nov’00 Project:Retirement Benefit Management System for Calcutta Electric Supply Role: Project Leader

Led team of 5 Consultants and regularly kept track of the progress of the project.

The project consists of 8 modules, they are Refundable Loan, Non refundable withdrawal, Investment, Life Insurance Premium, EDLI, Group Saving Linked Insurance, Settlement, Senior Staff Provident Fund. It was a very complex project. Applied her experience in understanding system and was involved in system testing, acceptance testing of the eight modules.

Involved in preparing system test plan and acceptance test plan and time-to-time she has given her feedback to respective team members.

Actively involved in creating database and installing the software in client’s place before starting the acceptance testing.

During acceptance testing she has interacted with the client and made them comfortable with the system. Also maintained Quality Records of the project as part of project management.

Duration: Nov’99 – Apr’00 Project:Energy Account System for Dishergarh Power Supply Role: Module Leader

Led a team of 4 Consultants. The system calculates technical loss as well as commercial loss location wise, voltage wise and equipment wise.

This is a system where complete knowledge of Electrical Engineering could be applied. Involved in low-level designing, construction and testing phase.

Took active participation in preparing acceptance test plan.

Being a senior member in the team, has guided other members in the team technically. Technical Environment: Developer 2000, Oracle 8, PL/SQL

Duration: Apr’99 – Oct’99 Project:Data Ware Housing project for Dishergarh Power Supply The project is to develop a Management Information System using data warehousing methodology. It has different modules as Energy Accounting System, Materials Management system, Billing and Collection system, Customer Enquiry System and Work Order Monitoring system.

Involved in analysis, design and construction of Customer Enquiry system and Work Order Monitoring System. Actively involved in data model design using star schema methodology and design, construction of the extraction, loading programs.

Used Discoverer 3.1 before, guided other team members to use the tool and also used it as front end development tool.

Applied her knowledge of business processes of the OLTP system implemented in Dishergarh Power Supply. Technical Environment: Erwin, Discoverer 3.1, Oracle 8, PL/SQL

Duration: Nov’98 – Mar’99 Project:Management Information System for Dishergarh Power Supply Involved in analysis, design of the project. Worked as Technical Expert in this project

Actively involved in understanding all modules implemented in Dishergarh Power Supply. Prepared the Requirement Definition Document compiling understanding of the system. Led the team in designing the system and prepared System Design Document.
