Objective

Synthesis of cadmium sulphide nano particles with CTAB as capping agent which can be used in optoelectronics for making photocells, LASER, field effect transistors(FETs) and light emitting diode(LED) as a semiconductor.

WORK EXPERIENCE

I have a research experience for about 3.5 years in the field of high temperature crystal growth. I have worked as Project Assistant in DST funded project named “Investigation on rare earth doped Cesium iodide (CsI) single crystal for scintillator application” and also I am pursuing my Ph.D degree on the same topic.

Work Description

Here we will grow the single crystal CsI doped with rare earth element and it is characterized by different instrumentation for the scintillator application which is used as radiation detector, medical imaging etc. We have also constructed high temperature furnace for the growth process.
