I began at Midwest Loan Services as the foreclosure operations analyst. As of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I took on the dual role of foreclosure and loss mitigation specialist. I dealt daily directly with borrowers regarding assistance plans, extensions, reinstatements, and more. I fielded around 100 emails per day, maintained at least 8 spreadsheets in Google Sheets and Excel, have learned and upheld guidelines for all loan types, including investor requirements for private loans, and became the point of contact for my company's loss mitigation department for investors and borrowers alike. In December, 2020, I took over the loss mitigation department and have added many new responsibilities to my role including quality control, compliance, file underwriting for loss mitigation assistance, and credit review.
