This is not your typical resume because I am not a typical employment applicant. I am a senior citizen that has so much experience it would be too hard to list it all. So, to prevent boredom, I am going to present my case in a narrative as opposed to standard resume format.

I am a type “A” personality with extensive hands-on experience in sales, management, marketing, supervision, and full P&L responsibilities. I have worked and been trained by a few of the best companies in the country such as UPS, Stauffer Chemical, US Steel, and Home Depot. As an owner of my own business, I have been deeply involved in OTR Trucking, Truck Repair facilities, General Construction, Major Family Recreation Centers, Industrial Manufacturing in Plastics, CNC Machine Shops, and the Barge and Towboat Industry. I owned a large shipyard that employed over 150 people.

I have personally done every job associated with all the above from cleaning the bathrooms to developing the business from start up to sale. I have significant knowledge in any task of almost any kind of business. As an owner, and a manager I understand what makes a good employee.

Dependable, honest, punctual, and always producing desired results, is what I am. I thrive on responsibility and my leadership qualities are the best. I lead everything I do by example and seek to challenge co-workers to emulate my lead.

This all may sound a little conceded, but I can deliver strong and measurable results that will make any company proud to have me. My challenge, to you, is to interview me in person and allow me to prove my value and worth. My age is not a hinderance, it is an asset.

I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, in perfect health and as I have all my health benefits from the Veterans Administration, I need no employer paid benefits. As a strong team player, I learn and adapt to any new experience rapidly.

If your firm seeks one of the best applicants that can and will produce significant results, then we should talk. I am highly motivated to excel and find no task unattainable. I receive social security income from early retirement which allows my salary demand to be reasonable. Regardless of the pay rate, my main priority is one of contributing to the overall good and continued success of the company.
