As a research assistant, I worked closely with two professors in the department on their research projects. The first was a study of representations of death, burial, and funeral practices in 20th century British and American poetry. For this project, I conducted extensive research on the historical formation of burial practices in America and England, read the work of several major poets, distilled this research, and collated it for review. In the second, I proofed and edited an anthology of American literature.
