Responsible for leading a team that conducted a thorough review, selection and implementation of our HRIS system, UltiPro from Ultimate Software.

In conjunction with operations, developed a staffing forecast tool based on key operations data that allowed for ample lead time to recruit appropriate levels of staffing.

Facilitated strategies for effective recruiting while maintaining over a million dollar budget.

Creation and implementation of the company’s first formal compensation system which classified various jobs into salary grades to prevent ongoing wage creep.

Kept detailed documentation of any issues or concerns for personnel files; this provided the company enough information for our legal counsel to have all matters in which I handled be dismissed including two that were rose to mediation in Harrisburg.

Traveled throughout the company’s network of facilities in the New England area, down through Maryland and out to Ohio to be onsite for general employee engagement events to represent the Human Resources department to build trust amongst the employees and act as a steward of our company culture. Additional travel was conducted for specific issues or to be available to employees who may have questions they didn’t feel comfortable talking with their manager about.

Researched, presented and implemented Work Opportunity Tax Credits for new hires. This has yielded over a half million dollars in tax credits to date.
