The Enigma September to October 2021

● Programmed a simulator in Java of the WWII Enigma machines in Germany, which took descriptions of possible initial configurations of the machine and messages to encode or decode.

● Assisted students to debug their own enigma projects.

Gitlet: Version Control System February to April 2021

● Designed and devised a prototype version in Java of Git and can perform the basic commands.

● Strengthened an even greater understanding of version control systems.

BYoW April to May 2021

● Developed a 2D tile-based world exploration engine with a HUD, including three secondary features, such as lights and two mini-games.

Covid-19 Data Challenge: Mexico at UC San Diego August to September 2020

● Researched and visualized graphics in HTML of Covid exposure rates of Mexico’s transit systems of 30+ border communities, including an easy-to-use, interactive map.

● Presented the project to UCSD professors and Covid-19 health professionals and received the Honorary Award for the Best Graphics.

● Guided labs of 1000+ students to debug or clarify conceptual questions on their projects.

● Mentored Berkeley Middle School underrepresented middle school students weekly to help them transition into the Common Core curriculum and prepare for college.

● Organized 15+ other volunteers to visit the Title I elementary school twice a week.

● Led classrooms of 30+ students (from 9 to 11-years-old) to discuss simple coding projects on Scratch.mit.edu to give them earlier exposure to STEM.
