Our average daily census of cases seen through the ER was: 600 daily and 1,000 per day at weekends.
The ER consisted of 4 x Triage rooms, 16 x Observation beds, 6 x Resuscitation rooms, 2 x Ob/Gyn Examination rooms and 4 x Ob/Gyn Observation beds. My Surgical Responsibilities included:

*Assignment as a permanent ER “Team Leader”, which included the assignment of staff within the ER during my allocated duty, provision of diagnostic support, supervision of junior Medical staff and provision of active management within the Resuscitation Rooms.
