Work Experience
I’m currently employed as a community liaison officer at a Joburg water Vukuphile project, third phase in Saxonwold, in Johannesburg. The duties are the same as the previous phase. Recently concluded a 11 month working contract, at a water pipe replacement project, under joburg water and EPWP, in Greenside as a Community Liaison officer in October 2019. Duties
Liaise with the community, local ward councilor and Joburg Water stakeholder relations officer, whenever necessary about the progress of the project and.
Assists local residents affected by the project, whenever there are damages, caused by contractors on one of the many services from the municipality.
Maintains good relations, between all stakeholders involved and affected by the project.
Assists with the recruitment of local labourers
Assists the labour officers with dispute resoulution matters of labourers when required. Worked as a volunteer at Khulumani Support Group, as an assistant researcher and facilitator in 2016 for 8 months.
