Manage and train a team of compression QC operators with evaluation of streaming and Storefront 4K video. Communicate directly with clients, create work orders, notify Data/IO department about incoming files, schedule operators, and send completed QC reports to clients.

Objectively perform extensive and detailed inspection and assessment of all forms of Standard Definition, High Definition, and Ultra High Definition recorded media (i.e., high-source film, video and audio elements) to identify Impairments, anomalies and artifacts.

Generate written reports within File Maker Pro database and Google Sheets that list my findings in a clear, concise and easy-to-read manner.

Equipment used includes various BD players, HDCAM SR, DVS Fuse, DVS Clipster, Grey Meta Iris Player, Adobe Premier Pro, Telestream Switch Player, and AJA VTR/Exchange Player.

Mastering QC Operator 9/2015-10/2018

Digital Media Operations Technician

Manage and prepare digital media assets for airing on NBC television network and NBC cable networks as well as for VOD distribution. Ingest taped programs with DVS Venice, QC of video and audio for quality and technical specifications, timing of commercial break segments, editing and insertion of Closed Captioning and V-Chip metadata with Mac Captions, transcoding with Telestream Vantage Encoder, and transfer of fully processed media assets to various domestic and international content-delivery networks using Aspera and Signiant.

Edit and reformat with Final Cut Pro and Time Tailor TT3500 to conform running times of shows and movies.

Track digital assets using Excel Google spreadsheet Weekly Grid, DAISY QC reporting software, and OTTO timing sheet and technical specification management system.

Worked on several high-profile titles such as Avatar, Avatar SE, and Titanic 2012 re-release as well as early Blu-ray releases, including Eight Below and Behind Enemy Lines.

Contributed to development of Panasonic Blu-ray Encoder; tested equipment and provided feedback to engineers to improve graphic interface.

Created process to retain functionality of legacy DVD encoder by transferring files to tape for encoder processing.
