I have taught at Perris Elementary School District for the last 17
years. I have had the privilege of teaching a variety of grade
levels, including 3 rd, 4 th, 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th.
Innovative Horizons Charter School

My most recent experience has been teaching 6 grade for the past
six years at Innovative Horizons Charter School. I have taught
multiple subject including: Language Arts, Math, Science, History,
Language Acquisition, Performing Arts, Computer Science, and
AVID strategies. I am currently part of the leadership team at IHCS.
Perris Elementary School
I began my career teaching at Perris Elementary School. I taught
grades 3rd and 4th, and was part of the leadership team for several
years while there.
Professional Development
I have had the privilege of receiving professional development in
the areas of technology that offered training in the various uses of
PCs, as well as iPads. I have also received numerous years of
professional development in areas such as English, Math, ELD,
differentiated instruction, and curricular adoptions. I am also well
trained in several programs such as iWorks (iPad software),
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I am also experienced
with different types of teaching technologies, such as the use of
SMART boards, document cameras, in addition to many more
strategies that aid in advancing technology in the classroom.
I attended AVID conferences, as well as a STEM certification
course that aid in ensuring successful implementation of strategies
that help students in the areas of: note-taking, organization, reading,
writing, and visual interpretation of information. These focuses
help students to attain future goals in college and career- readiness.
