Converting old Visual Basic programs to HTML and Java Script. Use of Visual Studio and Microsoft Sequel Server for developing and maintaining tables and procedures. Create and maintain tables using SQL. Complete, test and implement page conversions per requests.

Contract PA/AS400/RPG Consultant, CGLS Shipping 11/2013 thru 09/2019

Design, develop, test, and implement RPG IV applications on IBM System I (AS400/ISeries) for shipping and costing. Worked with subfiles, RPG400, and CL. A little report programming but mainly file uploads from 400 to server phantom drive. (Closed/Korean)

Converting S36 code/applications to AS400 RPG IV for City government, police, fire, and Court systems. Developed RPG IV, subfiles, and CL applications to upgrade and convert existing applications. Use SQL to modify and maintain data files. .

Sr. Programmer Analyst, WL Petrey Wholesale - 12/2012 thru 04/2013

Designing, developing, testing, upgrading, changing and implementing RPGLE, RPGIV, Subfile, and CL applications on the Enterprise System I (AS400/Iseries). Worked on barcode/scan label applications using PCL (Printer Command Language).

Use of SQL to update, delete, and display data to validate records/data.

Developed a spool file maintenance system that added user capability to e-mail 400 spool files. The E-mail addition to an exact duplicate of the WRKSPLF command down to the options and command line.

Contract ended after three months.

AS400/RPG PA contractor - 07/2006 thru 10/2012

AS400/RPG programming contract jobs with ADP (American Designer Pottery) included developing and changing RPG III, IV, CL, and Subfiles. Development of shipping/inventory/cost sheet maintenance subfile applications. Use of queries for report requests that users could run and change as needed. Use of SQL to modify, update, delete, and display data as needed for testing and data correction.

Company closed Opelika plant 12/2012.

Senior PA, INTERFACE Inc. - 03/2000 thru 04/2006

Supervised and programmed with programmers and analysts. Created and did all analysis for application specifications, developed all applications. Set up all library and file structures for 17 carpet installation and removal companies (McCosker Division). Designed, developed, tested, implemented, updated, debugged, and maintained all RRG IV, ILE, CL, and subfile applications. Sr. PA over 17 carpet tile Installation and removal companies operating on three AS400s. Use of SQL to update, modify, and display data for testing. Use of ALDON application management software. Worked on MAPICS, Infinium, McCosker, and EDI software. Worked closely with accounting departments and created all specifications and applications for the Inventory Costing systems for all three divisions that for the first time accurately projected inventory and shipping costs. Created new Cost and Recovery systems with scheduled file updates from Costing Systems that decreasing data entry in accounting by 60%. On call for assistance with any errors or problems 24/7.

Programmer Analyst, Johnston Ind. 06/1998 thru 03/2000

Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting applications on the AS/400 for all phases of manufacturing in RPG III, RPG 400, Subfiles, and CL.

Main Programmer Analyst at plant level converting company over to new PO+ software and creating in-house applications needed to modify and upgrade PO+ system to meet all plant needs. SQL use for validating, changing, and deleting data/records. Setup of 400 menu options, screen displays, and subfiles. Provided On-Call after hours system support 24/7 and responsible for new programmer training in some cases.

Program Analyst, WestPoint Stevens Inc. 03/1995 thru 06/1998

Developing RPG III, RPG IV, Subfile, and CL applications on AS400/Iseries based on user specifications and requests. Did all cost system programming for new cost systems and reporting. Worked on RPG applications for PO+ and company conversion from mainframe/COBOL to AS400/Iseries with RPG IV applications. Installed and setup ROBOT/Reports spool file archiving software for report distribution. Received commendation and promotion for Cost System development and Robot Reports installation and setup. Use of SQL, query, and 400 commands as needed.

Computer Programmer, City Of Montgomery - 07/1994 thru 02/1995

Duties included developing RPG applications on the AS400 based on System Analyst and user requests specifications. Worked with users to create and fill out help/Trouble tickets to be assigned to different programmer analysts.
