WORK EXPERIENCE

Transformed the OFF HIGHWAY TRUCK ASSEMBLY line to achieve the productivity by 30 % by implementing the Built to ship strategy, Common sequence and through layout and process optimisation which involves, BOM planning, Tools and Equipment Planning, Layout planning and Material delivery requirement planning. Led the team of 6 people to implement the new process sequence through the Rapid Improvement Workshop.

Implemented crane-less assembly station introducing the simplified Frame transfer system to inward the frame from paint shop to assembly line.

Lead for 775 New product introduction to establish the manufacturing capacity at Tiruvallur through APQP and NPI methodology which involves MBOM, Process Documents and routing configuration in SAP and Identify and plan for Tools and Equipments requirements for NPI. Established BIQ process for Manufacturing Engineering process to implement lean in process planning and validation process. Identify strategic business opportunity to reduce the throughput time by optimising the bottleneck.

Led NPI / NSI program for OHT Products - Introduction of TITAN Tier4, 773GC and 777EPrime NPI in Thiruvallur and validated the product and process through Process validation area which involves BOM planning, Tools and Equipment planning and sound test setup and validation as part of Regulation requirement.

Established Process validation area to validate the product and process characteristics for all OFF highway truck NPI and Non NPI implementation and improvements.

Visited Caterpillar Xuzhou Limited located at China to study and implement the best practices as part of Benchmarking Study and NPI introduction.

Visited Caterpillar Japan Limited located at Akashi Japan, To study and Introduced paint before assembly process for Excavator assembly line.
