Forklift driver and CNC Saw Operator

D&S Machine Service Luxemburg, WI 54217

Drove forklift to bring and haul away product to machining centers. Empty chip bins by machines. Load and unload raw and finished product. Operated the four metal cutting saws to provide parts to various work centers. Read blueprints to ensure customer specs were met and the right kinds and grades of material were used. Label and send parts to correct next work center location. Unload steel trucks of raw and purchased product. Checking materials against B.O.L. to ensure correct materials were received. Reject any incorrect materials. Label correct materials according to vendor cents and send to next work center. Items ranging from single pc. to palletized materials or stock lengths ranging from 12’ 20’ and 40’ steel product. Often full truckloads and several truckloads per day while also maintaining the required output of materials from the saws to meet company and customer needs. Sole operator doing this for the entire plant. Also had to keep welders busy on the saws when shop was slow. Oversee the jobs they worked on and bring them material and take away. Ensuring daily paperwork and recording was done correctly. Periodic material stock checks were done as well as a once a year full material inventory. Also done while trying to keep saw production up to speed. Clear all snow off steel in yard and outside racks during winter, also keeping up with workload. Making sure correct materials were used, forms and verification filled out to maintain ISO certification. Ability to troubleshoot problems, communicate effectively with purchasing and Project Mgr’s and multi task in a busy stressful environment. N.E.W Plastics/Renew Plastics

Use forklift to remove finished product from machines and store in warehouse or load onto trucks. Trucks were either loaded palletized or hand stacked. Move trailers in and out of loading docks when full and needed empties. Keep daily accurate records of product removed from machines and also product sent out. Unload bulk containers of raw/recycled plastic. Same as above but on the plastic lumber manufacturing plant. Saw helper

Assist on door trimming saw by rolling refinish doors onto saw feed track and also hand stacking cut doors onto discharge conveyor. Watch visually for defects and belt sander burn from saw. Stamp doors according to grade and specs on work order and send to next location. Siding installer

Remove old materials from existing homes. Apply new siding, roofing on old and newly built structures.

Georgia Pacific

Operate forklift to bring parent rolls to rewinder. Help cull out bad spots in roll and break offs. Operate core machine for rewinder. Run cull paper/cardboard baler and stack full bales. Worked on various other work centers throughout plant to give workers breaks. Assisted operating 2nd floor repulper. Watch controls and notify worker off variations. Put cull materials into repulper when neede.
