Dear members of the search committee,
With ** years of unique teaching and learning experiences, it is with great excitement that I submit my resume for your review and consideration to serve on your leadership team.
Please allow me to share how my educational preparation, leadership characteristics and cultural awareness can be value-added to the school’s mission, team, and community.
In addition, my global experiences have provided me with many unique teaching and leading opportunities in private, public, and charter school settings. One of my strongest assets is the diversity of my experiences. I have worked with students from three different countries in Kindergarten through High School; students living in small communities in rural Arkansas to those living in more urban environments such as New Orleans; students and staff with widely different belief systems, socio-economic standings and learning abilities; however, these differences have been used to strengthen our common bonds and move us toward our shared goals. I have been tapped by several proven leaders in multiple schools to take charge in their absence. I am now qualified and assured in my ability to successfully oversee the day to day safe operation of a school, while facilitating growth through broad scaled improvement across academic achievement, culture, and instructional practices. My additional leadership training and experiences as a graduate of the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans, a non profit Arts Administration, and LAE teacher mentor and Praxis trainer has provided me first hand experience in recruiting, retaining, and supporting professionals in developing their craft, fulfilling missions and collaborating with community leaders to build impactful relationships.
With the many challenges set forth, I recognize this as a significant time in the history of education. I am excited to leverage my education, experiences and commitment to lead through this and future challenges.
I value your consideration and would greatly appreciate an opportunity to further discuss my qualifications, desire, and perfect alignment to serve as Dean, Assistant Principal, or Principal.
Educationally yours,
Lionel Williams, J ., M .EdL
