Background
I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist with over four years’ experience both at clinical and
community outreach activities. I have a background in project coordination, research, care and
support of HIV infected and affected. Have worked extensively with multiple partners like Global
Health System Solution, EGPAF, TB reach, CBCHS, and Kumbo East Health District.
Work Experience/Position held
February 2019 – July 2019: Voluntary survives at Saint Cecilia Health Center. Medical
biology analyses of body fluids in the fields of biochemistry, bacteriology, hematology, and
parasitology. Quality control of reagents and biological products. Collection, processing,
packaging and shipping of body fluids, DATA Collection in District Registers and DHIS.
April 2016 – October 15, 2018: Medical laboratory technician at St Elizabeth Catholic
General hospital, Shisong at the integrated day care laboratory
- Carried out medical biology analyses in; bacteriology, hematology, parasitology,
immunology, virology and mycology.
- Counseling, testing and follow-up of patients on HIV, HIV index testing, daily, weekly
and monthly HTS reports.
- Viral load collection, labeling, aliquoting and transportation.
- CD4 testing using Cyflow and Alere PIMA
- DBS blood collection for EID and viral load testing.
- Actively take parts in outreach activities related with Health especially HIV testing,
screening and drugs dispensation.
- Provide health education to outpatient, produced and used quality assurance tools (SOPs,
job aids, stock cards) required for quality services.

Dec 2016 to October 15, 2018: Trained Platform Operator for the use of Alere q new
technology for the implementation of UNITAID/EGPAF Point of Care Early Infant
Diagnosis in Kumbo East Health District: During this period, I also acted as the focal point
person where over 122 infants were tested, and results given back within a day. I facilitated
coordination meetings and site supervision that led to an increased in the testing of infants and
early initiation on treatment. I also carried out weekly monitoring, data entry and reporting to
District Health services and to partners.
November 2015 – March 2016: TB reach Site Monitor at Saint Elizabeth Catholic General
Hospital and Cardiac Center Shisong (Tuberculosis Reach Program)
- Managing Tuberculosis commodities, follow up of tuberculosis positive patients, follow
up of presumptive TB patients, collect and submission of weekly and monthly DATA,
manage project funds, organize coordination meetings, follow up of TB activities in the
institution and organize outreach activities for recruiting TB, ensured implementation of
Tuberculosis activities algorithms in the institution.
While completing my schooling and looking for permanent work, I have held internships and
temporary jobs at the Padre Pio Hospital Douala, Presbyterian Hospital Bertoua, Acha annex
hospital Douala, and Medibest Sarl Douala.
