Worked in Govt Taluk Hospital, Kayamkulam,Alappuzha, Kerala, India from 11th July 2012 to 21st October 2013 as a Staff Nurse in Emergency Department and Medical Ward.

JOB PROFILE:

Assisting the doctor for physical examination as well as for various med-surg procedures.

Preparing the patient physically, psychologically as well as legally for surgical procedures.

After care of the patient in the post operative unit.

Legal documentation regarding the patient condition and procedures.

Receive endorsement from the outgoing Staff Nurse, count and receive endorsement for all items including inventories.

Assess Physical environment that will contribute to the care of patients.

Monitoring and recording of vital signs. If any abnormality found duty Doctor is

informed immediately.

Pre-Operative, Post-Operative care of patient.

Deal professionally with patients and relatives.

Attend to nursing needs of critically ill patient such as Endotracheal Suctioning, Prevention of pressure sores, Oxygen Administration & Monitoring vital signs etc.

Plan the care to be provided using the available resources.

Implement care based on formulated nursing care plan.

Provide patient needs physically, Psychologically, Socially and spiritually.

Observe always- aseptic techniques in performing Nursing care to prevent infection.

Record all relevant data, observations, medications and nursing interventions

done to the patient.

Evaluate all the interventions administered.
