03/2020—PRESENT Mechanical Designer

Custom Air Products & Services, INC. Houston, Texas

Responsible for the design and layout of commercial and industrial HVAC systems with emphasis on custom systems utilizing the Autodesk Inventor design software program. I follow the projects thru the build phases and make any changes, as needed, for timely delivery to the customers site.

06/2003—01/2019 Senior Piping Designer II/Room Coordinator

Chicago Bridge & Iron, LLC, Savannah River Site, Aiken, South Carolina

Responsible for system design for the MOX Project at the Department of Energy Savannah River nuclear facility. Routine interface with engineers who are converting an existing French design into American standards, for construction on-site. Designing pipe and raceway supports for construction as well as clearing clash issues that arise while construction is installing. Responsible for room coordination, requiring close, daily interaction with all disciplines of the design team to coordinate construction of the facility. Utilize Autocad 2013, Microstation J, and Support Modeler cad packages, as well as PDS 3D and Smart Plant Review software in daily operations.

Responsible for drafting and design of systems for Imerys Pigments and Additives Group in Sandersville, GA, a kaolin mining facility. Assigned as principle designer for six engineers in all disciplines of design, as well as field checking the design and completing As-Builts, when needed. Also, responsible for drawing control and issuance.

Responsible for drafting and design of systems for Procter & Gamble, Augusta, GA. Performed field walk downs of drawings to take field dimensions and verify accuracy before design completion. Performed daily direct interface with project engineers to complete projects on schedule.
