PROJECTS

·Developed and modified a theoretical CNG engine for Lebanese automobiles using Aspen HYSYS. Several fuel types were considered, as well as the modeling of air and fuel stream refinements. The end-result is an engine compatible with the average commercial vehicle that is both cost-efficient and environmentally friendly, which could serve as a financial support for roads and infrastructure. The thesis written on this was peer reviewed and approved by four engineering professors, all of them with a PhD background

·Performed experimental work with a diesel-based truck engine. Ran several fuel types, including different octane numbers, and modified the air fuel rate and pressure to observe the resultant efficiency, as well as the composition of the exhaust stream. Dangerous indicators, such as tar buildup within the combustion pistons and the amount of CO present in the exhaust, were recorded.

·Performed and modified distillation membranes. Gas-liquid separation, gas-gas separation and reverse osmosis membrane separations were utilized with different chemical makeup and feed. Permeability, permeant volume and retentate volume were recorded, and membrane-specific formulas were used maximize the concentration amount of the desired chemical product within the permeant flow. The gas mixtures used for gas-gas separation were nitrogen with ammonia, and nitrogen with carbon dioxide. Gas storage safety was also performed.

Oversaw several processes and responsibilities for process engineers, which Include, but are not limited to: transportation and storing of petrol-based chemicals, sweetening and refining of crude oil, designing proper modules to store refined crude oil and natural gas in a separated environment, formation of separators and filters for the purpose of diesel and petrol distillation, membrane product designing, workplace safety checkup regulations, natural gas storage safety, and more. Acquired valuable knowledge and diligence needed that a chemical industry would need.

Calvatis MEA Sal, Chemical Operator (August 2019-December 2020) Beirut, Lebanon

Worked as a chemical operator, mostly as a mixer. Achieved profits for the company through monitoring and supervising the control systems responsible for the production of Terol 305. Utilized a PLC programming software to oversee various chemical reactions. Successfully implemented a new, improved process of generating the required product through the altering of the amount of potassium hydroxide (KOH) needed for the reaction, resulting in a higher yield of the polyol as well as less reaction time needed. Ensured an organized environment through manual labor of reactors and tanks when necessary.
