Evaluate, test, and further troubleshoot to identify and resolve any technical issues for AC Drives products by applying knowledge of the FEA quality control process.

Main technical support contact to one of the company’s most important original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customer.

Provide phone support to FEA’s customers and distributors to resolve all technical inquiries including programming, start-ups, applications, product information, troubleshooting faults, and diagnosing failures pertaining to AC Drives.

Provide onsite and offsite troubleshooting and technical support services for AC Drives based on the needs and requests of the distributors.

Design and provide technical product training on AC Drives products to the Company’s distributors and customers by applying in-depth knowledge of the products.

Monitor the performance of FEA products to ensure consistency with the Fuji Electric Group’s superior engineering quality.

Assess units requiring repair, including problem identification, developing and evaluating solutions, and providing customers with quotes for necessary repair service, either upon return of the device, or onsite at customer locations.

Modify and convert FEA products in accordance with specifications generated by the sales team, or customer feedback pertaining to requested product enhancements, or reported deficiencies.

Ensure that the FEA Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process is followed for all units received, including tracking of receipt of the product into utilized systems, documenting the RMA symptoms, and properly disposing of the unit, both systematically and physically.

Coordinate with factory workers to investigate failed AC Drives, make necessary programming changes and identify root cause.

Make reports to design division of parent factory in Japan regarding any unusual failure.

Maintain UL file of Drives. Discuss with UL inspector and factory staff about Drive UL issues.

Confer with other engineering staff regarding the quality assurance policies, engineering procedures, adhesion mechanisms and structural design techniques in order to resolve technical issues and suggest changes with regard to daily engineering operations.

Participate in all phases of engineering activities pertaining to FEA’s AC Drives including analysis and testing.
