To excel in a position where I can use my technical knowledge, attention to detail and ingenuity to innovate new products or improve existing ones. My interest in electronics drives my curiosity to push the limits of what we can accomplish. Using my friendly and easy-going attitude, I make an excellent team player and leader. Experience

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II CLIMET INSTRUMENTS CO. AUGUST 2018 – MARCH 2021

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and improve our Biopharmaceutical grade instruments, such as airborne particle counters and microbial air samplers according to customer requests and usage patterns.

• Designed an analog barometric flow compensation circuit to automatically adjust unit’s airflow as altitude changes, accurate to 0.4% up to 14,000 ft. Troubleshot PCB layout and function due to various issues such as incorrectly loaded components, incorrectly routed traces, missing pads and noise issues. I performed board level testing, functional testing, real-world and simulated testing.

• Created a power converter box with an RCD, a 10mA GFCI, and a transformer to simulate an overseas customer’s 230VAC power issues where leakage currents from our unit’s AC filter circuit caused their GFCI to trip consistently. After extensive testing, I determined that too much current was sent to ground through our extra AC filter circuit. I removed and resized the capacitors on that board to resolve the issue, with the unit still passing CE mark.

• Released a customer ready windows program from an unreleased test version by improving performance, polishing GUI, and fixing errors. Wrote user manual and validation documentation to support the software.

• Independent engineering project for new product launch of a Climet Flow Meter. Hardware component selection, power requirements, analog and digital communication, prototyping and finalizing designs. Components included an i2c barometric sensor, an i2c temperature sensor, and an analog flow sensor all communicating to a PIC32 microcontroller. Wrote documentation for URS, FS, user manual, procedures, and assembly instructions. Assisted with software in C# to support this.

• Solved unit calibration loss issue by tracing down and analyzing i2c signals, and power up/down behavior. Wrote change request documentation highlighting the fix and instructions for production workers to follow.

• Developed compatibility with off the shelf barcode scanners to simplify customer usage experience by creating a custom cable assembly, assembly instructions, and user manual.

• Conducted research and testing of solar radiation effects on particle counts to determine best correction factors. Education
