Owner & President, JLR Events and Logistics LLC, Houston, TX 2011 – Present

• Established LLC to serve as event logistics planning and management consultant, utilizing years of operations and logistics experience. Assisted with the planning and execution of over 40 large scale citywide events, generating business revenue in year one. Experience with large scale concerts, fan festivals and sporting events.

• Responsible for business development, marketing, contract negotiations and all business operations.

• Traveled throughout the country to work on NFL, NCAA, and Turner Sports events, while also working with sports commissions and local non-profit organizing committees. Project Manager, Execu-Search, Woodbridge, VA 2021

• On-site lead for 150 Clerical and Medical staff that was led by IEM Health for a mega COVID-19 Vaccination site which was managed by AshBritt. This massive public service healthcare effort saw 4,000 patients per day at peak with an average of 3,000 per day.

• Coordinated the check-in/check-out of the staff and served as the in-person manager for the staff on behalf of Execu-Search.

Assistant Athletic Director, Football Operations, University of Maryland, College Park, MD 2018 – 2021

• Provided change management leadership and facilitated start-up program for new coaching staff after change in leadership and seamlessly interfaced with external vendors and internal partners to successfully oversee 35 budget lines totaling $5mm.

• Department lead liaison for all elements of completion of construction of $60m football facility.

• Operations and administrative lead for day-to-day management of football offices and facilities, 110 players, and 75 staff and students. Served as the primary compliance liaison with the Big Ten Conference, university campus, athletic department, and all external operations entities.

• Departmental strategic leader with the Big Ten and for the university during the COVID-19 pandemic planning and execution of facility management and all team activities, such as team practices, meals, and travel for games.

• Involved in campus and athletic department initiatives and committees, including the Voter Activation Committee. Spearheaded feasibility study and contracting process with the Prince George’s County Electoral Board to have the Xfinity Center selected as a polling site for voting during the 2020 Election. “Terp of the Month” for the effort and coordination. Director, Major Event Management, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA 2016 – 2017

• Managed strategic planning for execution of major events during final stages of construction of new state of the art world-class venue that is home to the Atlanta Falcons and MLS Atlanta United.

• Managed Atlanta Falcons’ Friends and Family travel arrangements for Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas, including ground transportation, air charters, and hotel arrangements for ~700 people. Managed 15-person team and worked closely and diligently with CFO to plan and organize travel and trip activities. Vice President, Operations and Logistics, Super Bowl LI Host Committee, Houston, TX 2014 – 2016

• One of the early hires of the Host Committee for Super Bowl LI that had an economic impact of ~$347mm of new spending for the Greater Houston area and 150K visitors traveling in for the game and preceding 10 days of festivities.

• Operations and logistics lead for 2.5 years of strategic large scale regional planning, including team logistics, Houston area public safety, regional traffic planning, and transportation management, coordinating and collaborating with city, state, and federal agencies and officials. Met extensively with the National Football League event management leadership to bring their vision and expectations of Super Bowl LI to life. Program Lead, Airport, Hotel & Tourist Site Volunteers, Super Bowl XLVIII Host Committee, New York, NY 2013 – 2014

• Member of 31-person staff for Super Bowl XLVIII event that drew 450,000 visitors and created ~$500mm economic impact in the New York/New Jersey region.

• Operational leader in the recruitment and selection of 9K volunteers. Responsible for training and strategic planning for placement and management of ~6.5K volunteers placed at airports, hotels, and tourist sites in New York and New Jersey. Program, still used as model, widely regarded as one of best Super Bowl volunteer programs.

• Planned and executed volunteer related logistics, including large scale training sessions, site coordination, apparel distribution, and collateral coordination for delivery to hotels and airports. Director of Operations, 2011 Summer National Senior Games, Houston, TX 2010 – 2011

• Head of operations for Olympic-formatted event with 10K athletes from all states, District of Columbia, and several foreign countries who traveled to Houston to compete during 2-week event of 18 sporting events and 800 separate competitions in 13 different venues.

• Successfully and safely executed all non-competition facility arrangements and logistics, such as parking, transportation, signage, and security.

Vice President, Football Operations, Houston Texans, Houston, TX 2007 – 2010

• Started as Director of Football Operations and promoted to Vice President, earning increased leadership role with the football operations support areas. Worked closely with General Manager and Head Coach to oversee and facilitate all football operations. Managed six budget lines, totaling approximately $8mm.

• Facility lead for management and all renovation and construction of Texan’s related or owned areas at stadium.

• Instrumental in successfully bridging the gap between football operations and business operations, which increased organizational team unity, improved morale, and enhanced working environment and culture of the organization.

• Recognized as an NFL office lead resource for disaster planning, team travel, game day best practices, game day coaches’ communications systems, and field preparation and care. Assistant Athletic Director, Football Operations, University of Illinois, Champaign, IL 2002 – 2007

• Hired as the youngest and only minority in Big Ten Conference as Director of Football Operations. Promoted to Assistant Athletic Director, Football Operations and worked closely with Athletic Director and Senior Associate Athletic Director on all matters related to football administration, while managing $2mm annual operating budget. Successfully coordinated offsite training camp, team travel, and all other team events.

• Responsible for all facility maintenance, and renovation projects as well as long term scheduling and planning.

• Managed transition during head coaching change and effectively served on the new coaching staff for two seasons.
