Fitness Trainer Web Developer

I was born in South Korea of Chinese parents. Because of our ethic

background we were denied Korean citizenship and the family moved to the US when I was 13 years old. I enrolled in high school without speaking a word of English and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. I studied Mechanical Engineering at USC where I was the only woman in my graduating class. Following graduation, I started my career at Hyundai Motor America in Marketing as a product planning specialist and then worked my way into software development for parts, service and warranty systems. I spearheaded development of software programs that streamlined the parts inventory warehousing and vehicle warranty claims editing system. What set me apart was that I was a quick learner and a natural problem solver who provided valuable insights to the executive team.

Between 2000 and 2010 I was primarily focused on raising my three boys as a single mom. During that time I combined my love for golf with my entrepreneurial spirit, I became certified as a golf fitness trainer and started a golf school in Los Angeles which I operated for two years. In 2010 I started working as an Independent Contractor in Financial Services. I was happy to help older clients to prepare for retirement, guide younger clients toward fiscal responsibility and mentor new agents.

In 2018, with my three boys out of the house and none behind bars (two out of three presently in law enforcement) I decided to upgrade my skills in tech as a full stack software/web developer. I completed Bethel Tech coding school and started my own digital marketing practice. Throughout my life, I've volunteered through church or individually helping people in need. My most recent initiative, Father's Kitchen, provided weekly home cooked meal service to 150 homeless families in Orange County, CA. EDUCATION
