ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Eye Motion based Wheelchair (Fall 2019):

Executed a wheelchair designed for paralyzed people that works according to a certain blinking pattern commanded by the patient. The design includes a mobile application that allows the caregiver to take better care of the patient by checking their location and receiving messages from the patient. All done by blinking commands given by the patient. The project was implemented using PIC and PI microcontrollers. Multifactor Authentication (Fall 2018):

Designed a Multifactor Authentication program that will allow the user to use a combination of push buttons, rotation angles captured by a potentiometer, and ranges captured by an ultrasonic sensor in order for him/her to set a password, and then login under some restrictions. The project was simulated using Code Warrior and implemented using a microcontroller.

Home Automation System (Spring 2018):

Created using basic circuit elements an automatic control system for the lighting scenario inside a certain room. These lighting conditions were to be determined by the sunlight coming inside from the window and by the electric lights inside the room. Project soldered and tested using manual and automatic modes. Parking Ticketing Machine (Fall 2017):

Designed and implemented using logic gates, a Parking ticketing machine that will operate based the insertion of a Parking ticket into the machine. Subject to certain restrictions such as the parking hours and the amount of money being inserted, the user had to pay, and the machine had to return the change when needed. Project was simulated using Quartus II.
