Position : Senior Process Controller -2011 till current

Responsibilities:

Ensure good housekeeping is maintained to prevent injuries and unsafe conditions, do plant inspection for proper operation of equipment. Ensure crude oil tank pressures, volumes, temperatures and oxygen content are within accepted safety measures, monitor equipment use and report abnormal conditions to prevent injuries and equipment damage. Line up crude oil vessel from sea to shore for crude transfers. Commission flare system to burn unwanted harmful gases during crude transfers. Monitor DCS for abnormalities. Ensure the crude oil supplied is within safety standards. Commission diesel and electrical booster pumps.

• Issue permits for confine space entry and equipment isolation.

• Monthly crude stock taking. By physical tape dipping and recording.

Position : Process Controller – 2008 till 2011

Responsibilities

Involved in starting up and decommissioning the plant. Taking samples to the laboratory for analysis for quality control make up chemicals to improve process quality (Sodium Hydroxide). Monitor equipment for optimal availability. Worked with pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, flow controllers, valves etc. put on work request for equipment abnormalities. Work closely with process engineers and give feedback about the process. Co-ordinate contractors during plant shut down to ensure they adhere to the company safety standards.

Position : Quality Controller/medical cylinder filler – 2005 till 2008

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the cylinder comply with Afrox safety standards. Cylinders have life

span of ten years and after that they have to be pressure tested. I made sure the gas purity specifications are adhere to. I was involved in auditing to maintain our quality accreditation using ISO 9000.

Monitor LPG Stock for purity and customer's satisfaction. Test gases like Nitrous Oxide, CO2, Oxygen, and Dense Acetylene for purity using dragger machines.
