Projects/Dissertation Thesis

Dissertation Thesis – Paleopedology of the fossil soils from Middle Siwaliks from Kangra Basin, NW Himalaya- Implications for Weathering & fluctuating Monsoonal conditions during Lower Miocene May-Jun, 2019

Supervisor- Prof. Pankaj Srivastava

Department of Geology, University of Delhi, India. Aim: To Study Key Paleo-Pedofeatures of the Paleosols from Middle Siwaliks of the Kangra Basin to understand nature of weathering and Paleopedogenesis in response to climate change & tectonics. Sedimentology and Clay Mineralogy data give interpretation of- 1. What kind of Paleopedogenic information is stored in Fluvial Succession during late Miocene (8.96ma) in Siwalik Sediments of Kangra sub basin.

2. Degree of Paleopedogenesis & frequency of soil formation in fluvial sediments of Lower part of Middle Siwaliks.
