Assistant Operations Manager

Triple Canopy Inc., Federal Triangle Complex 2018 to present Coastal International Security, Federal Triangle Complex 2016 to 2018 Supervising daily operations of a security contract with over 400 employees to help develop productive, profitable and achievement oriented working environment for employees. Additionally, I provide supervision oversight and accountability for complex projects including data migration, calendar management and records management for classified information. I develop communication pipelines and disseminate time sensitive information from upper management to cross-functional teams. • Hire, train, coordinate, and manage work schedules of all security personnel to ensure a secure environment at all locations and all times to include PTO, timekeeping, and FMLA.

• Establish security objectives, goals, processes, and plans in support of divisional and corporate strategic

• Coordinated and facilitated new hire orientations and performed onboarding tasks.

Coastal International Security, Federal Triangle Complex

• In direct support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Federal Protective Services (FPS), assist the Project Manager in managing the daily security and human resource operations at the Ronald Reagan Building International Trade Center (RRB/ITC).

• Act as a liaison between the Project Manager, CIS employees, and corporate.

• Serve as on-site HR representative, respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, PTO, and FMLA and CIS policies.

• Facilitate employee pre-employment screening and onboarding, to include verification of employment eligibility and review of policies & procedures with new hires.

• Manage time and attendance for over 250 people.

• Monitor employee disciplinary actions to include suspensions.

• Ensure contract compliance in conjunctions with federal guidelines to include Suitability and Clearance information.

Bowie State University, Bowie, MD – Bachelor of Science; Psychology Bowie State University, Bowie, MD – Master’s in humans resource development -Expected Graduation 2021 Supervisor/Management Training

FEMA Emergency Management Training achelor’s degree in relevant field SHRM certification is a plus

Five years or more of relevant work experience as an Operations/HR Manager, HR Manager or similar role Experience managing operations and human resource functions for a global team Proficiency in US labor law, experience with international labor laws preferred Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems Experience designing and administering compensation and benefits packages for a global team Familiarity with the rules and regulations of the US federal agencies (DoS; USAID; DoD) as well as other multi-lateral institutional donors
