Project: SUPERVALU, USA Nov 2013 – Oct 2014

e-Deals is a Web based application for SUPERVALU which brokers\agents uses to create deals and submit to the SUPERVALU Approvers for their approval. The Front end access the DB2 Tables through Stored Procedures for the processing and updates the DB2 Tables.

Duties included develop SQL queries in JAVA, Create DDL to define DB2 objects, developing COBOL Programs, developing JCL Jobs using IBM Utilities like SORT, MERGE, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, ICETOOL, IDCAMS etc., and test the components developed.

Responsible for DB2 job enhancements, fine tune SQL queries, analysis of access patterns to determine indexing and buffering, identify and avoid indexing and subscripts in internal COBOL tables and fine tune them.

Project: JPMorgan Chase & Co, USA May 2013 – Oct 2013

Performance of a portfolio account is a measurement of how well an account is doing. It can be with respect to same account for previous period or it could be with respect to an industry average index like Dow Jones and S&P. The team is to perform enhancements required on the performance calculations, performance reports etc.

Duties included, analyzing the COBOL, COBOL DB2 for possible enhancements and new functions. Develop program for the functional requirements, Unit test Plan (UTP), and Requirements Traceability matrix (RTM) matching and perform UAT with business.

Schedule jobs in CA7 Job scheduler, develop REXX program to read the completed production job information and send the email on the status of the job execution.

Project: Kaiser Permanente, USA April 2011 – April 2013

Kaiser Permanente is an integrated care consortium, based in Oakland, California, United States. Common Membership is a Software system used by Kaiser Permanente to maintain the data about the Healthcare members in the Kaiser Permanente.

Duties included, Analyze, fine tune and execute developments and make sure customer deliverables comply with specifications. Technical work involves Test JCLs, scan DB2 Tables, submit and review Jobs results in JES Spool.

Project: ACE Limited (ACE), USA July 2010 – March 2011

ACE Limited is a global insurance and re-insurance organization, serving the needs of commercial and individual customers in more than 140 countries and jurisdictions. Billing is a real time mainframe computer system used by ACE to generate Invoices and manage payments. Billing tracks the dollar flow across the portfolio. Direct Billing is one of the three portfolios of Billing.

Scope of the project is to replace existing Mainframe CICS Screens with Web Dot net screens for end-users. My duties included Implemented methods to copy The IBM Utility IDCAMS with REPLACE to get past three years of data from the older VSAM files into one VSAM file. FTP Transfer is done to transfer the VSAM file contents to store in a particular site in text format. Work with Dot Net team to update the DB2 server.

Analyze the existing data in the various VSAM files and designed the DB2 Server tables, foreign keys, primary keys and their relationships. Created Production JCL Jobs with the required IDCAMS COPY steps and moved to PANVALET (Version control). Schedule the jobs in CA7.

Project: Travelers Insurance, USA Nov 2006 – June 2010

Travelers is a leading provider of property casualty insurance, surety products and of risk management services. Billing is a real time, mainframe computer system used by Travelers Insurance Company. Direct billing systems for Travelers commercials lines is cloned from the existing billing systems for personal lines.

Duties included, design DB2 Database with referential integrity, DB2 Constraints, Primary key, foreign key and all required items. Create DDL to Create DB2 Objects like DB2 Database, recovery DB2 Database etc. Create DML Commands to fill up the DB2 Tables with the Initial Data.

Develop of COBOL Programs using COBOL Functions. Develop of COBOL DB2 Programs using SQL Queries and COBOL Statements. Bind the COBOL DB2 Programs with the DB2 Tables and supply the DB2 Plan to the Jobs.

Develop of JCL Jobs to execute the programs using IBM Utilities. Create DDL to Create DB2 Objects. Schedule the Production Jobs in CA7 Job scheduler. Developed tools in Rexx to automate the repeatable activities like testing verification & data preparation.
