In 2014, I started working for Gower Electric & Elevator Services LTD as a Journeyman Construction Electrician. They had recently changed ownership and didn’t have all their safe work procedures in place. I took the initiative in creating safe work procedures with the help of the Safety Officer. Some of the procedures I created were wiring transformers, working with heights, and working alone. I am very proud that I was a big part in helping the company create a safe work environment and helped them pass their safety audit.

I am proud of the fact that I can act quickly in emergency situations. In 2013, I was working for McCaine Electric LTD as a Journeyman Construction Electrician. While working on one of the sites, a fellow employee was piping and his arm accidently slipped causing a large gash. I quickly jumped into action and administered first aid on the employee and coordinated with the Safety Officer to get him to hospital. He was able to make a full recovery and only missed a couple days of work.

2019 – 2020: Journeyman Construction Electrician, Centec Electric and Controls, Portage La Prairie, Manitoba

Built cable trays, pulled cable, and ran piping for a large construction site.

Ran EMT, rigid piping, and installed high and low voltage electrical panels and device terminating.

2014 – 2019: Journeyman Construction Electrician, Gower Electric & Elevator Services LTD, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Renovated electrical systems for high-rise office buildings and cellphone towers.

Site supervisor, delegating and training a team of apprentices. Maintained and stocked the company van.

Worked on high voltage electrical panels, fire alarms, preventative maintenance and installation of elevators, and installed motor control setters.

Worked with Safety Officer to create safe work procedures for wiring transformers, working with heights, working alone, and several other safe work procedures.

2010 – 2014: Journeyman Construction Electrician, McCaine Electric LTD, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Installed security cameras, swipe card scanners, eye scanners, light and power installations in concession stands for the Investors Group Field Stadium.

Installed Electrical Metallic Tubing, pulled wires, and terminated all devices for the Police Headquarters.
