I came across your Ad about hiring science teachers in your school and I am considering that this position matches both my work and education experience and could help me to reach my goals and obtain a higher degree in chemistry.

My name is Nadeen Alkees Sharrouf, I’m a graduated student from the Lebanese University holding a master’s degree in physical chemistry material and catalysis. I believe that my educational background and experience would enable me to be qualified to your position .I appreciate this opportunity and I would like to provide further information about my education,work experience and personality. Considering my earlier education, I got my first certificate (Brevet) in 2006 then in 2009 I got my second certificate (Life Science). My professional goal was to be a good lecturer and researcher in the chemistry field so, I decided to take chemistry as a major in the university, where l’ve got my bachelor degree from the Lebanese University in 2012 then my master’s in 2014 where I have done a 4 months internship

(master’s 2 research) in Troyes France. My studies cover a wide range of subjects, including catalysis(homogeneous and heterogeneous),kinetics,porous materials (micro,meso and- macro),organometallics, organic, inorganic, polymer, physical, analytical, material and theoretical chemistry inaddition to a practical laboratory sections in different fields of chemistry. In addition to an Experimental part in doing my internship (STAGE) in the laboratory of Nanotechnology and Optical Instrumentations (LNIO) at the University of Technology of Troyes(UTT).My mater thesis titled: ‘’Nano- thermal sources for catalytic applications under irradiation UV-Visible-IR”.It was divided into two parts: a photocatalytic part and polymer part,in the first part was photodegration of Bisphenol A under visible light(laser and LED) in the presence of a photocatalyst and Au nanoparticles (photocatalytic degredation of harmful materials and converting them to less toxic and useful products) whereas the second part includes fabrications of polymer microlens at the extremity of an optical fiber and characterization(by FEG.MEB and Optical microscope)then functionalizing them with metallic nanoparticles for various catalytic and optical applications. (The aimwas to make a spectroscopic setup). The experience in LNIO Institute enriched my knowledge in various fields of chemistry as well as my interpersonal skills. Where I developed an outreaching personality, with a great ability to integrate effectively within a group. Moreover, I believe that working with a group is an ultimate source of success for an individual.

Considering my working experience, I have worked as a science teacher for 3 years in different schools, where I taught physical,chemistry and biology for grades 7 &8 and science for grade 1 till 6 inaddition to other subjects in a private institute .Also I have worked as a math and English teacher for Syrian refuges in Hasbaya area during which we have attended a lot of workshops about modern teaching and strategies. In addition for teaching private courses at home. In summer 2012 after finishing my bachelor’s degree I made a training in the environmental core lab at the American university of Beirut, which increases my knowledge where I have mastered a lot of techniques that improved my ability in laboratory works and help me a lot. Since I was very interested in social work, so I made a lot of trainings concerning Gender- based Violence (GBV), Domestic Violence, Gender Roles, Case Management and Strategic planning where it was a training program with a duration of 7 months between CASS, LAND, MercyCorps and Heartland Alliance.
