My latest permanent employer was Medsynergies, a billing service for Dr.’s and hospitals, where I was a payment poster. Posting very heavy 3rd Party Insurance checks including Medicare, Medicaid and Workman’s Comp checks as private pay accounts. Balancing each account each night and at months end, every month and keeping daily logs. We work with IDX, Groupcast, Novell, Isuites, Excell, Word and our in-house email. Before that, I worked at Tarrant County Cardiology for 3 years where I worked in the Insurance/Billing department and most of my time was spent on collections and appeals working with all insurance companies including Medicare and Medicaid. I have been trained to float as well (ALL front and back office duties) should the need arise. From checking patients in and out, scheduling procedures, making appointments to obtaining referrals and pre-certifications. In addition I hooked up and scanned 24 hr. holter monitors, administered ECG's and hooked up stress-echo leads and assisted with transferring, downloading and copying information from the Accuson echo machine when needed. I have also been trained in CPR and First Aid.
