PRE FINAL YEAR PROJECT: PLANNING AND DESIGN OF HOSTEL BUILDING PROJECT.

DESCRIPTION: Our project deals with the PLANNING AND DESIGN OF HOSTEL BUILDING with special emphasis on beams, columns, footing and staircase.Concrete mix used doing the RCC members is m20 and steel used is high yield strength deformed bars of grade Fe500. Limit state method is adopted for the design of all structural members in the building.

Build up Area: 4550 sq.ft

Capacity of Hostel: 100 Students

Safe bearing Capacity of Soil: 150 kn/m2

Software used : Auto CADD 2012, STADD.Pro V8i.

FINAL YEAR PROJECT: UTILISATION OF POLYETHELENE PLASTICS IN PAVEMENT MIXTURES

DESCRIPTION: Disposal of waste materials including waste plastic bags has become a Threatened to our ENVIORNMENT. Our present work is helping to take care of these aspects. Plastic waste, consisting of carry bags, cups and other utilized plastics can be used as a admixture in Road Construction, The mix polymer modified bitumen have shown greater strength. Use of this mix for road construction helps us to use plastic waste. TESTS PERFORMED:

PENETRATION: It is used to measure the Hardness or Softness of bitumen. DUCTILITY : Ductility is the property of bitumen that permits it to undergo great deformation or elongation.

SOFTENING POINT : Softening point denote the temperature at which the bitumen attains a particular degree of softening under the specifications of test. VISCOSITY : Viscosity denotes the fluid property of bituminous material and it is a measure of resistance to flow.

MARSHALL STABILITY TEST : Marshall stability measures the maximum load sustained by the bituminous material at a loading rate of 50.8mm/minute. INDUSTRIAL VISIT
