As a Technician my duties included maintaining the Fare Collections equiptment. This includes fareboxes for the buses and subway booties, ticket vending machines, ticket gates, vaults, mobile bins, probes, cash boxes, etc.

As a Leadman my duties included maintaining comunications with the Yard Tower and the OCC Supervisor regarding train movement for maintenance and repairs. Used ISO 9000 standards to create work instructions, procedures and forms at the quality level for the Network Interface Computer (NIC) and made available on the companies Intranet.

Inspected NIC hardware and software, this included electronic and fiber optic parts that were shipped to the company. The electronic parts were checked with meters and oscilloscopes, in circuit and out of circuit. The fiber optic parts were cleaned and inspected with microscopes and magnifying glasses.

After receiving feedback from the customer, the NIC’s checked for any errors in software performance, gui (graphic user interface) performance and location on the screen/desktop of the NIC. We checked for the ability of each option on the screen to do what they were sold to do. After the inspections, the software was revised by the software engineers and re-issued.
