JOB DESCRIPTION

I am currently working for universal Mining and chemicals Industries limited- Kafue Steels as an Electrical Maintenance and the jobs includes:

*Electrical Maintenance on Overhead and pendant cranes from 5 tones, 10 tones, 35 tones and 75 tones.

*Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and rectifying faults on direct on line, star/delta, forward and reverse starter panels, 3 phases 415 volts motors.

*Installation, wiring and rewiring of starter panels driving pumps, cooling tower fans, continuous casting machine and it's auxiliaries to meet operation requirements.

* Carry out Electrical maintenance on 33 kv 3phase Power transformer rated at 30MVA, Vacuum Circuit breakers.

*Installation, maintenance and repair of 415 Volts, 3 phase motors, direct on line, star/delta, forward and reverse starter panels driving conveyors, pumps, vibrating screens, overhead and pendant cranes to meet operation requirements and Made scotch cast joints on 415 volts and 415 volts power and control Cable

*Inspect,maintain repair electromechanical and solid state electrical equipment,using a variety of electrical test equipment,meters,powered and non powered tools and equipment

* Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to company electrical standards

*Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for projects facilities and equipment

*Perform high voltage switching and operate generator in support of operations

*Lead a work party in performing maintenance or repair work

*Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes,standards,safety and environment regulations
