I helped develop and open this resort facility, planned a golf course, expanded the wastewater treatment plant, planned a co-generation power facility, and trained 275 tribal members into new careers. Operational profits increased 22.4% annually.

Working closely with the President of the company, I coordinated all renovation programs and was responsible for the daily operation of the entire resort. This property had 500+ rooms, 1900 slots, 42 table games, 4 restaurants, a 1300 seat bingo hall, the world’s largest bowling center and 1500 employees. I was promoted from Director of Hotel Operations in April 1993, after achieving 3 years of 94%+ occupancy levels. Directed and created many casino programs, special events, and group sales promotions.

We prepared this facility for full “Vegas style” gambling operations, anticipating the passage of a state gaming referendum in November 1985, which was ultimately defeated.

I managed 17 departments, 1200 employees, and served on a six man committee that planned, produced, organized, and directed 54 special events per year. We were an 1834 room hotel that served 30,000 meals per day, generated 180 million dollars per year in non-gaming revenues, and achieved the coveted Mobil 5 Star Award. During my tenure, we produced many world televised sporting and entertainment events, built a 600 room tower addition, and set the industry standard for gaming, hospitality, service, and entertainment excellence.
