DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and coordinates for the direction of all activities of the X-ray technicians and auxiliary personnel assigned to the department, and assist Radiologist in any examination.
Prepares staffing schedules and duty assignments for Radiographic technician.
Appraises and counsels employees in regards to performance, conduct, attendance and other related matters.
Discusses and settles individual problems or grievance or refers them through channels to proper authorities for further action, if no action must be taken.
Reports to Superior problems relating to staffing, morals, procedures, discipline, safety and other actions.
Improves quality results by evaluating accuracy and quality of images.
Coordinate and supervise daily department activities, including personnel, patient care, budget and regulatory compliance.
Responsible for testing and evaluation of new products and reports on their application to the hospital administration.
Instructs and demonstrates the use of specific new techniques, equipment, improvements of methods and techniques to minimize health hazards to patients and staff.
Provides a safe environment by monitoring radioactive exposure of staff and patients.
Supervises maintenance records or documents as required.
Responsible for monitoring and recording monthly, the cumulative radiation exposure of each individual involved in radiation work in the medical center.
Holds regular staff meeting for X-ray personnel.
Supports patient care by resolving radiology issues with physicians, radiologists, radiology technologists, and ancillary staff.
Attends pertinent meeting, conferences and educational seminars synonymous with progress for the department and the hospital.
Collaborate with radiologists and managers and Nursing Dept. to ensure standard quality and care.
Ensure observance of established guidelines, policies and procedures.
