2012- 2015 (july) : QA/QC Consultant for Drilling & Completion Tools - SEPLAT/Brade Nigeria

Responsibilities:

•Coordinate the monitoring, inspection and reporting the project QA/QC work activities, based on current SEPLAT and industry practices.

•Provide demonstrable added value to the life cycle of SEPLAT projects by supporting implementation of robust and fit-for-purpose Quality Management System covering activities from design to operations and a process to monitor compliance.

•Conduct and Coordinate Inspection and surveillance activities at the various sites and vendors, Inspecting, monitoring, reviewing and reporting of all Vendors and Sub-Contractors QMS implementation, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), documentation, Non Destructive Testing (NDT) reviews and results, Audit actions follow ups etc.

•Engaging Contractors and Vendors with the objective of meeting satisfactory Quality standards and maintaining technical integrity.

•Coordinate and implement the SEPLAT Project ITPs, covering all key project activities, contractors and work locations.

Verification of materials upon reception, stock taking, ordering and daily management of all operations, documentation of all assembly certificates. Field support coordination, drilling and completions tool, assisting field person in trouble shooting in any issues as may require.

Ensure that all Company owned Drilling and Completion Equipment is received into storage, tested, and/or mobilised in line with approved QA/QC procedures

•Ensure that all tasks are performed within approved Company approved or mandated Health and Safety Guidelines

•Ensure that Completion Subassemblies are made-up, tested, managed and stored in line with approved processes, procedures and relevant Company rules

• Ensure that all materials and equipment required for drilling and well completion, within view and located in contractors base, and loaded out to the rig in a timely manner

• Ensure that equipment returned from the rig are inspected and returned to stock in line with approved standard QA/QC procedures and industry best practices

• Ensure appropriate documentation and certification provided by Contractor for all equipment to be stored or mobilized for company use, in line with best QA/QC practice and company procedures.

• Monitor and implement operating procedures for workshop activities including QC procedures, optimize activities of service providers and assess their performance.

• Ensure the respect of safety rules and frames of reference

• Participate in CWOP and DWOP

Observations on Activities and Tasks – In liaison with well equipment/qaqc superintendent and well engineering team.

• Ensure Company and Contractor procedures are in place and fully updated prior to commencing any activity.

• Ensure Contractor’s personnel are fully aware of the content / aim / requirement of the activity

• Ensure Contractor’s tools, necessary for the works (thread gauges, pressure test equipment, bucking unit, drift, OD & ID caliper…), are in good working order and calibrated.

• Witness / monitor equipment and subassembly inspection & testing activities at Contractor’s facility (e.g. Halliburton, Baker, Schlumberger, Ciscon,Weatherford, OAL …) and other vendors use by the company.

• Ensure that testing of equipment / subassemblies are performed in line with procedures that have been fully approved by the Engineering team.

• Ensure that Completion Equipment is tested and ready for load-out in line with rig superintendent look ahead.

• Ensure all QC documentations are fully completely filled up and approved prior to equipment dispatch to the rig.

• Ensure that all equipment / sub -assemblies returned from the rig are received into storage in line with approved procedures and industry best practices

• Confirm with Superintendent whether returned sub- assemblies require breakout and if so the required process to be followed

• Monitor and follow up all local fabrications, ensuring that the fabrication and subsequent testing are in line with industry standards and relevant Company rules.

• Perform pre-mobilization inspection of equipment and tools (including radioactive sources and explosives)

• Perform equipment / subassembly failure investigation as may be required

• Assist in the annual (or semi-annual) audit of all Drilling and Completion sub –contractors

• Provide required assistance to well intervention for equipment preparation and make-up.

Report all anomalies and Non-conformances in the equipment / process / procedures to the Well inspection leader and maintain / update a non-conformance report register / database at all times.

• Follow-up all raised non-conformances, monitor specifically, failure to follow approved procedures and industry best practices in the workshop that may lead to significant Non-Productive-Time (NPT) and possible loss of the well, in the case of major equipment / string failure downhole failure analysis investigation, proffer solution,to root cause, mitigation measures until closure.

• Ensure that required completion equipment / subassemblies are loaded out to the rig on time.

• Stand in for the QA/QC superintendent, as required by Hierarchy, approve QC plan, operational decisions

Also as the focal point for all job preparations in the workshop.

Involved in Material reception, quality check ODs,IDs,any anomalies or non conformance., make up of all the piece part to an assembly, measurement taking to confirm to engineering drawing specifications, and test same, logistics handling to and from field.

Addax(Lower completions ) : Handling of all workshop / occasional filed jobs: involve in qaqc, all sub assembly make up and testing, up to load out, daily management of all operations, documentation of all assembly certificates, conduct daily JSA, pre-job and quality evaluation meetings, measurement taking to conform to engineering drawing specifications and well schematics, and test same, logistics handling to and from field.

NAOC (Ogbainbiri ESP Completions Project): Project involve gravel pack operation with expandable screen with semisubmersible pumps: Involved in Material reception, quality check ODs, IDs, any anomalies or non conformance., make up of all the piece part to an assembly, measurement taken to confirm to engineering drawing specification and well schematics, and test same, logistics handling to and from field, and as a contact person in the onshore operation.

Worked and supervised all Totalfina Elf (PerfPack Operations 4 months Project) in Cameroon: In - charge of all workshop operations, ( a single trip gravel pack operation that deploy all the sub- assemblies ( Perforating guns, Mechanical Packer, screens, blank pipe, shear out joint, the gravel pack extension and the parker and the service tool, all and up together in one run). Make up/testing of all sub-assemblies, Also quality check on sub- assemblies to be sure they conform to specification in the well schematic and program, testing same, and as a contact person in the onshore operation, handling also client inventory and logistics.
