WORK EXPERIENCE:
16th July 2015 : James Manyeki Odhiambo passed the suitability test for drivers and
obtained 78% Marks and had 18 years’ experience on driving. The suitability training and test, normally conducted by Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure by the Mechanical and Transport Department at their Training Centre in Homabay County.
Oct 2014 – July 2019 : Associated Battery Manufacturer, ABM – East Africa
As a driver attached to the managing Director – Nairobi. Later transferred to Chloride Exide “K” Limited as sales and distribution driver.
April 2011 – Sept 2012 : Nyanza Reproductive Health Society
As a driver based in Nairobi under VMMC (CDC)
(USAID) (PEPFAR) project in the department of transport
of staff which needs someone with good knowledge on
driving in Nairobi and its environs as well as other
parts of Kenya.

ROLES:
Oversee vehicle handover from one driver’s shift to another.
Inspect vehicle to ensure cleanliness and road worthiness.
Counter check to ensure that all the vehicles have all the necessary accessories, spare wheel, jack, spanners, first aid kit, fire extinguisher etc.) as well as working safety belts.
Authorize and release vehicles for fueling, cleaning, service and repair.
Ensuring that company vehicles are utilized only for allocated assignment, do not divert from official route and do not carry unauthorized passenger.
Ensure consistent communication with transport manager on vehicle performance and if there are any vehicles problems.
Ensure proper documentation of all driving records.
