Provided care for the emergent patient in Vermont’s only level 1 trauma center. Rotated through the general treatment, pediatric, and acute care units of the ED. Attended grand rounds lectures, participated in interdisciplinary case presentations, participated in mock codes in the simulation lab. Skills performed include; splinting, repaired simple and complex lacerations using various suturing techniques, nail trephination, ring removal, relocation of dislocated joints, digital nerve blocks, incision, and drainage of abscesses and cysts.
