SKILLS

OBJECTIVE

I am a passionate, goal oriented, highly resourceful geologist with 11 years of diverse experience in Oil and Energy Industry with a lengthy record of proven discoveries. My area of expertise ranges from fieldwork to modelling of complex structures with the focus on geomechanics, structural geology, stratigraphy & Petroleum Geology.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Exploration District Manager / Eastern Mediterranean Turkish Petroleum Corporation ~ 2020 – Present

I am responsible for leading a G&G Team to generate hydrocarbon exploration prospects and to quality check of those prospects over the entire Eastern Mediterranean offshore and onshore licensed areas for the Turkish Petroleum Corporation.

• My team has discovered that certain ancient delta’s turbiditic units such as submarine fans and distributary channels of Oligocene-Pleistocene ages reached and deposited at the areas where the TP’s exploration licences are located and they can be prospective reservoirs and exploration targets. Senior Exploration Geologist/ Exploration Project Lead Turkish Petroleum Corporation ~ 2017 – 2020

I was responsible for generating prospects by modelling complex structures in the charriage area, orogenic belt as well as foreland Adıyaman and Diyarbakır Basins on the Northern Arabian Plate.

• Deciphering structural architectures of tectonically complex regions using properties of fractures, fault surfaces or beddings

• Exploring oil bearing, previously untargeted and overlooked reservoir horizons within Late Cretaceous clastic deposits using log interpretations, sequence stratigraphic principles, microscopic investigations on drill cuttings and analysis of tectonic migration mechanism. Resulted in oil discoveries by only perforating overlooked intervals in the cased holes rather than drilling new wells.

Senior Geologist/ Fractured Reservoir Team Lead

Turkish Petroleum Corporation ~ 2013 – 2017

I was responsible for exploring new naturally fractured reservoir (NFR) oilfields and for increasing oil production in the existing oilfields.

• Locating oily fracture swarm sweet spots and hydraulically active, conductive fractures by integrating; Reservoir Geomechanics applications e.g. in-situ stress measurements, mechanical earth model and Seismic Volume Attribute Analyses.

• 2D and 3D seismic interpretation with respect to structural and sequence stratigraphic interpretation of subsurface using Petrel software. Geologist, Exploration

Turkish Petroleum Corporation ~ 2010 – 2013

I was responsible for revising geological maps and collecting structural & kinematic data from the field around Mediterranean coasts, Adana, Antalya, Iskenderun Basins as well as sampling rocks for further laboratory analyses to identify their reservoir and source rock properties.

• Geological field mapping & petroleum system analysis of the Basins of SE Turkey

• Seismic interpretation of on-shore and off-shore sections within the salt tectonics driven basins of southern Turkey.
